I am starting my 5th year at John Jay High school. However, I have been
teaching for approximately 17 years. I started as a pre-school
teacher in an affluent community right out of college. From there, I started
teaching at a residential school for emotionally disabled children. It was a
very difficult job, however, the skills that I learned there have made me a
better teacher, and strengthened my ability to teach "outside of the box" in
order to reach each and every one of my students.
