This is my 13th year working in the Wappingers Central School District. I
spent my first year subbing in various schools in the district. The next
five years I spent in Gayhead Elementary computer lab. I also spent two
years at John Jay High School. When my predecessor switched to Social
Studies, Ms. Musante asked me to consider moving to Wappingers Jr. High.
I've been very fortunate that each building I have worked at has been a warm
and friendly place.
My husband and I have been residents of the school district for 21 years
this November. My oldest daughter is a graduate of WCSD and Marist
College. She currently works in the fashion industry in New York City. My
son is also a WCSD graduate and graduated from Penn State this past May.
My youngest graduated from Jay this past June and is attending Mount St.
Mary's College. She plans to be a secondary language teacher. I completed
the required course work for my Master of Educational Technology at Eastern
Ct. University this May. Eastern offers many on-line courses, which makes it
easier to be a teacher, a student and a Wife/Mom.

To have each student understand the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel and
Powerpoint. This understanding should help prepare them for school
assignments and the work place.
