We are also pleased to announce that because of the successful Kimmel Center Concert last year, we
are able to provide two deserving students with an instrument and free lessons for this school year.

We are also pleased to announce that because of the successful Kimmel Center Concert last year, we
are able
to grant two $500 scholarships to two 8th graders who participate in this year's Honor Band Concert
and the String Orchestra Concert. More information will be coming from school principals and music
teachers in September.
There will also be a drawing for $500 for any elementary school that sends students to our
Archdiocesan Band, Orchestra, or Choral Concerts. This money must be used for that school's music
department.
String registrations are extended to October 28.
For the 2009 - 2010 School year, the Festival Band will consist of students in Grades 4 and 5.
Honor Band will consist of students in grades 6 through 8.
