Declarative Sentence-telling sentence

Interrogative Sentence-questioning sentence

Imperative Sentence-commanding sentence

Exclamatory Sentence-exclaiming sentence 

SUBJECTS AND PREDICATES:

Subject of the sentence tells who or what the sentence is about.

Predicate of the sentence tells what the subject is or does.

EX: The crazy old man rocked in his chair.

Subject: The crazy old man                    Predicate: rocked in his chair.
