small medium large Welcome to November! There are some exciting things going on in third grade these days! In Religion classes, we have been talking about the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and our receiving of the 10 Commandments. We are discussing how we can lives these "laws of love" in our lives. In Reading classes, we have been focusing on many different skills, such as comparing and contrasting, author's purpose and classifying information. Our final grade for Theme 2 will be a book report which will be assigned in about 2 weeks. In Mathematics classes, we are officially beginning multiplication! This is a very pivotal time for the students and their basic knowledge of the concepts of multiplication. Students will be receiving their Multiplication Journals on Monday, which should stay in their Homework Folders at all times. They will be using their Journals in school, as well as at home to study their facts. In Social Studies classes, we have been learning about the election process. We will now learn and discuss the responsibilities and jobs of the President and who is there to assist him. I am looking forward to a fun and successful end of the First Trimester!
