9th Grade Homework

Students will be assigned homework on a nightly basis. Homework does reflect
in their grades.

Students will be doing "Everyday Edits". They are given a paragraph with ten
grammatical errors in it. Students are then to find the errors and fix them.
This is homework every night. I do not always check the homework on a daily
basis, but it should be done in case I do. They will lose points if it is
checked and not completed.

PARENTS:
Ask to see their Every Day Edit calendars. Students were given a calendar for
each month of the school year on September 8th: The calendar states the topic
of the paragraph. More is explained in their syllabus which should be in the
beginning of their binders. Please refer to it for further questions.

Additional Homework

On-going Current Novel Work: White Fang by Jack London
Students were given a schedule of due dates at the beginning of the marking
period, therefore, it should be in their binder. The schedule is also written
on the board.

Additional Points:
Bonus Points: Mystery State Contest: See mystery state site

Weekly Points:
Words in Context and Math Prompts: These are done in class on a special form.
The students copy the prompt and question and then the answers are reviewed.
They hand these in on Friday for points. If a student is abesent, they simply
write absent onthat given day and no points are deducted.

At the Bells:
They are given a form every Monday for that week. Please see Calendar given
to students and posted for the collection schedule.
