 When are spelling tests usually given?
Spelling tests are given every Friday.

 How can I check my child's progress?
Progress reports are sent home 4-5 weeks into each marking period. You can 
always write a note or call school to talk to your child's teacher.

 How many independent books does my child have to read a marking period?
*If your child reads at least 15-20 mins. each night, and 15 mins. each day 
at school during Silent Reading, he or she should be able to read 2-3 
chapter books a marking period.

Each child should have 1-2 book conferences a marking period.
