About The Teachers

Mrs. McGinty graduated from Wayne Highlands High School in Honesdale,
PA. She went to Penn State University for her bachelor's degree in
elementary education and to Gwynedd Mercy College for her master's degree in
elementary guidance counseling. Mrs. McGinty was a 2nd grade teacher at
Seylar for 17 wonderful years! She has taught fourth grade for 3 years and
looks forward to her 4th year.
When not teaching, Mrs. McGinty is at home in Coopersburg spending time
with her husband, Mick, twelve year old son, Kevin, and Maltese dog, Tess.
She enjoys cheering on her son at various sporting events such as football,
basketball, and baseball. In her spare time, Mrs. McGinty enjoys trips to
the shore with her family, swimming, walking, reading, shopping, and
decorating.

Mrs. Raimo grew up in Connecticut, but went to West Chester University
to get both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. She has been teaching in
Pennridge since 1986 and at Seylar since 1987! While here she has taught
2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. Mrs. Raimo enjoys teaching all subjects, but has
to admit that Math is her favorite and loves to see the way boys and girls
work through various types of Math problems.
Outside of school Mrs. Raimo keeps busy with lots of family activities.
Her husband, Nick, children Alex (17), Catie (15) and Mike (12)love to
travel and learn about new places in the U.S. and spend time in Ocean City,
NJ. Mrs. Raimo spends a lot of early weekend mornings watching her son Mike
play ice hockey, afternoons watching her daughter dance or boys play
basketball and baseball. Although Mrs. Raimo loves to watch all sports, her
favorite thing to do is READ! Mrs. Raimo is a big animal lover, and at
present only has two black labs and one very spoiled cat. Environmental
issues are also something that Mrs. Raimo spends a lot of time learning
about as well.
