Our class continues to be busier than ever this holiday season! Monday, December 7, 2009 found
us traveling to the Carnegie Museum to be a part of the Holiday Party sponsored by the women of the
museum. We had a great time watching the dancers from the nutcracker and singing/signing along
with the music. We were served a bag lunch and each given a special stuffed dog and warm cozy
blanket. It was a fun afternoon for all!
When we arrived back from the party we packed up all of the items we made and took them to the
board room to prepare for our big craft sale! The children were amazed at by all of the items we have
made over the past few weeks. One of the children commented said, "We made all of this!" There was
definitely pride shown in all they accomplished. The next two days brought busy shoppers to the sale.
We took turns bagging purchases for the shoppers. Everyone did a super job! Our group made a great
profit on the sale. With the funds from the sale we will be traveling to the mall on Thursday, December
17th to see the holiday decorations, visit with Santa to give him our lists of wishes, ride the train and
carousel, and enjoy a generously donated lunch at Chick-fil- a.
On Monday, December 14th we will be doing our annual shopping trip to Santa's workshop. Please
send money and the shopping envelope with your child on Monday if you wish for them to shop.
Wednesday, we will be participating in a Christmas party sponsored by the Girl's Athletic Association.
To end the week we will be doing some fun activities and enjoying a show by our students in drama
class. We are looking forward to a week full of festivities and fun!
