| ***1.Re-do any missed problems!***
*Re-do any missed math problems from any lesson within the particular 6 weeks.
*Must show all work to complete the missed problem.
*Staple original math homework to the re-do problems for extra credit.
*Corrected math problems will earn full credit and those points will be added
to the homework/classwork grade.
(Example: Student missed 10 problems for a grade of 70. Students re-worked
missed problems out on a seperate sheet of paper with all work shown.
Student stapled original homework sheet with re-worked problems. Student got
all problems correct. 3 points for every problem = 30 points added to their
grade. Instead of a 70 on the lesson, they made a 100 after turning in
corrected homework problems.)
*Students may do this for every homework assignment.
***2.Math in the Real World.!***
*Students may use the internet, newspaper or magazines to find examples were
math is used in a real-work situation.
*Print out article or cut out article and write a 1-paragraph summary of why
math was important in this article. This opportunity is worth 10 points for
every article turned-in.
***3.Math Poster***
*Make a math related poster.
*Draw, color, label the math concept on a poster.
*Each poster is worth up to 10 points.
Extra credit needs to be turned in before the last day of the 6 weeks if the
student wants credit toward a particular 6 weeks.
More or less points may be given for a particular assignment to reflect the
amount of work/effort put into the assignment.
Remember..these assignments are for "extra" credit. I do expect a
little "extra" effort put into these assignments for "extra" credit.
However, extra credit are for students who complete their work, but just need
a little help.
