Hi! Welcome to my class. This will be my 4th year teaching at Dyer Jr.
High. I teach 6th grade Math, 7th and 8th grade Science. I also coach the
Dyer Eagle Cheerleaders! My first year here, I was voted DJHS Faculty
Homecoming Queen! What an honor!! I have always wanted to be a queen!!
Last year, I was also the "Teacher of the Year!"
I went to high school in Harrisburg, IL. I then attended Southeastern
Illinois College on a music scholarship/ambassador scholarship in
Harrisburg, IL where I graduated with my Associate's Degree. I then
transferred to Murray State University in Murray, KY. I graduated from
Murray in 2003 with my Bachelor of Science Degree in middle school
education. I then accepted a job in Munford, TN to teach 8th grade Science
and also coach their middle school cheerleaders. I Brandon while living in
Munford. We got married on July 16, 2005. After we married, we moved to
Humboldt, TN. On May 23, 2006 we welcomed Tanner Heath Thomas into the
world and our lives have never been the same!! :-) He is now 2 and is so
much fun! I love to watch him play and run and eat and play and run and eat
and play some more!! He seems to never-ever get tired!! Tanner loves Barney
movies, Mickey Mouse, trains, trucks and tractors.
