About The Teacher

I graduated in 1977 from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN with a 
B.S. in Wildlife Management (perfect for teaching 6th grade!)
I am married to Art Green who is an administrative engineering manager at AFG
Industries. 
We have two children, a son who is married and living in Knoxville, 
and a daughter who was hired in 2006 as the art teacher at RCS.
I opted to stay home and rear our children until our youngest was in high 
school. At that time I returned to school (ETSU) and received my master's in 
teaching. I have been teaching 6th grade at RCS since 1996.

Mission For The Class

My mission for my sixth grade classes is to provide a safe, friendly 
classroom environment which encourages exploration and challenges young 
minds.
