Is my child correctly placed in the PAP class?

The vast majority of PAP students are correctly placed. In general, they
are very bright, very motivated students who are willing to take
responsibility for their education and prioritize their time accordingly.
On the flip side, many of these very intelligent, creative children also
figured out earlier on in their school careers that they didn't have to
study quite as diligently or as strenuously as their peers to earn good
grades.
However, in high school they are expected to meet much higher standards,
which sometimes comes as a shock. It can be discouraging to a child who is
used to very high grades, but I promise you that the extra effort it takes
to succeed in a PAP class will be worth the work. Your child WILL meet
the challenge and be better prepared to meet even greater expectations in
the
future.

What is the policy for collecting make up work after an excused absence?

It is the student's responsibility to ask for and complete make up work.
Make up work is due the next class period after they receive the work. Labs
and tests must be made up during morning tutorials, by arrangement with the
teacher.

Why has my child been assigned morning tutorials for Biology?

If at any point the teacher feels that the student is stuggling with the
material, not working to his/her potential, or if the student's grade has
fallen to the point that they are in danger of recieving a failing report,
the teacher can assign mandatory tutorials in order to help get the student
back on track. Non-attendance to assigned tutorials will be treated as a
discipline issue.
