ParentConnection Instructions

HOW DO I CREATE AN ACCOUNT?

Enter the following url in the address bar of Internet Explorer:

http://campusware.brazosportisd.net/pc/

Click on the Click here to sign up on the bottom of the screen.

Enter accurate information in the fields. This information will be compared

against student records as a qualification for approval. Items with an

asterisk are required. Please do not use nicknames, but rather your full legal

name. You must have a valid email account or you cannot gain access. If you

do not have a valid email account there are multiple services that will sign

you up for a free email account. YOU MUST BE THE FIRST CONTACT

LISTED IN OUR STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM TO BE

AUTOMATICALLY APPROVED – if you are not the first contact your

application may be denied but can be approved manually. It may take a

couple of days for this to be approved manually.

All users must agree to the terms of usage (displayed in the user agreement)

that the school specifies. Also, please note that the Password

Requirements displayed below the blank password field.

 Click Sign Up.

HOW DO I ADD A STUDENT TO MY ACCOUNT?

To request access to a student’s records – click on the Add Student button

and fill out the form completely. Take care that all data is accurate. Access

to your student’s grades will be approved or denied based on the information

in the application. After filling all required fields, click Submit, located near

the bottom of the screen. Your request may be processed automatically if

all information is correct or it may have to be verified and processed by a

school administrator. You will be notified immediately whether your request

was approved or denied. Campus administrators will check daily to approve

applications.

WHAT INFORMATION CAN I VIEW?

Student Grades – you can view the student’s courses, names of teachers, the

period and the student’s average grade for each cycle in each course. To

view details about an average grade, click the grade that is highlighted in

bright blue. Please note that cycle grades will appear and until the cycle is

over are to be considered temporary. The recommended timeline for

teachers to enter grades into the grade book is weekly for secondary

schools and every two weeks for elementary schools. If the teachers email

address has been entered in that teacher’s profile, parents can click the

teachers name to send the teacher an email.

Attendance – Attendance appears ONLY when an attendance code was

entered for the student. If the student has perfect attendance the screen

will be blank.

Report Cards – ParentConnection allows you to download and view your

student’s report card online.

Triggers – The Triggers tool allows you to receive notification if your

students’ grades dip below a certain threshold, or if your students are

marked absent or tardy. Once the trigger has been tripped you will have

to update the field again for it to work again.

Discipline – This feature will allow you to view discipline on your student.

Calendar – Any dates with attendance events will be highlighted, as shown

above. To view the attendance records for that day, click in the highlighted

field. Information related to the attendance event will be displayed to the

right. Administrators also have the ability to add school-wide and districtwide

events and important dates to the calendar.

Manage Students – After creating their accounts, parents can add student

associations to their account or manage existing student associations from

this screen.

My Settings – Parents can select My Settings from the menu on the left to

view and edit their account information.
