How can parents help?

Support is our key! Please take time to schedule a conference so we can
meet. The student is my main interest at Brazoswood High.
Field trips can only be possible with help from our parents.

What supplies does each student need?

Students have an Art fee in order for supplies to be purchased for them.
Throughout the year, I might ask for items such as a large disposable bowl,
magazines, or an old piece of material. These items should be something you
find at your house already.

Do the students need a sketchbook?

Students that are serious about art should consider acquiring a sketchbook
to
record their progress, drawings and notes.

What is a portfolio?

The term, portfolio, can be used in two ways...One as the actual
folder that would hold the student's work, and second, as the actual artwork
the student has done.

How can I pass if I can not draw?

Art I consists of more than just drawing. You will learn the history of
art, careers in art and how to talk about art. Some activities will include
watercolor, printmaking and sculpture. You will find out that art can
be fun even when you think you can not draw.
