 Do I have to enroll in Theatre Arts in order to audition for the plays?
No.  Most of the plays produced by the Theatre Production Company are cast 
from auditions open to all Brazoswood students, even when the production is 
a musical.

 Are Theatre Arts students required to work on productions after school?
One night in May each year, the Theatre Arts One classes perform a play 
they have rehearsed and prepared during class.  Advanced Theatre students 
must participate in at least one production each semester.

 What do I do if I want to enroll in Advanced Theatre?
Audition.  Positions in Advanced Theatre (Theatre Arts 2, 3, and 4) 
are awarded to the top performers at auditions in January of each school 
year.  Complete an audition form (a copy is in the handouts section of this 
website) and schedule an audition time with Mr. White.

 Is Theatre Arts 1 a full-year course?
Yes, to recieve any credit toward graduation a student must complete both 
first and second semesters, though those semesters do not have to be 
consecutive in the same school year.

 What are the prerequisites for Theatre Arts 1?
None.  Untill the classes reach their maximum enrollment, any Brazoswood 
student may enroll in Theatre Arts 1.

 What are the prerequisites for Advanced Theatre?
A student must successfully complete Theatre Arts 1, perform a successful 
audition, and receive theatre teacher authorization to enroll.

 What is Theatre Production?
It is a practical laboratory for all other Brazoswood Theatre classes.  
Theatre Production students are the core cadre of Brazoswood's Theatre 
Production Company.  They work on every production at Brazoswood: on stage, 
back stage, front of house, in the box office, in the scene shop, in the 
costume shop, in the business office, and out in the community selling 
advertising, ancillary products, and sponsorships.

Theatre Arts 1 is a prerequisite for Theatre Production.  Theatre teacher 
authorization is required to enroll.  Production students must work sixty-
two hours in two different production areas each semester.

 What is the Theatre Tech class?
Theatre Arts 1 is a prerequisite for Theatre tech.  The class concentrates 
on the technical production of theatre; the design and creation of, scenery, 
lighting, sound, costumes, props, graphics, programs, posters, and ancillary 
products.
