2008 Volleyball Information

Please remember that no athlete may tryout without a physical and we will not delay tryouts or do later tryouts for those without their physicals as our first game is the second week of school.

Tryouts

• Volleyball tryouts will begin the second day of school.
• Volleyball is a no cut sport
• We will take the top 30 players for our traveling teams. All other athletes who try out will play on Monday nights either at CMS or DMS.

Practice

• 7th grade practices begin at 7am and will continue until right before school begins. Seventh grade athletes should plan on attending tutorials after school with the exception of the day of a test.

• 8th grade practices after school until approximately 5pm. Eighth grade athletes should plan on attending before school tutorials.

• Parent night will be Tuesday Aug. 26th at 6:00

Equipment

• We will supply uniform shirts and spandex. Athletes may purchase their own spandex should they so choose, as long as they are black. We also have some knee pads if an athlete needs them.
• Athletes must wear school colors (black, green, white, gray) to practice each day.
