Sketchbook assignments are due every Wednesday for all art classes.
3D Art: 1st period: Continue Paper Mache Animals.
4th period: Continue Clay.
Int. Art: Continue monochromatic typography painting.
Choose 4 of the following assignments to complete. To receive full credit
each assignment must have the assignment written on the page (copy the
sentence from this sheet) and the assignment must be complete. (Drawings
should fill the page and be detailed. Some require color/shading if not
stated it is optional. Written assignments must be at least 1 paragraph (5-6
sentences) and should be written in complete sentences. Correct spelling,
capitalization and punctuation should be used.)

Drawing Assignments:
1.Create a logo using your name or initials. The logo should represent you.
You may incorporate things that you like into your logo. The logo should be
colored.
2.Draw part of a car. Pay attention to proportions. Complete with
color/shading.
3.Design a package for a new fruit treat. Think of a catchy name for the new
product. Complete with color.
Writing Assignments:
1.If you could turn back time, what year would you go to and why?
2.Describe what you think a day in the life of an artist is like.
3. Think of an outdoor scene. It might be spooky, breathtaking, or
beautiful. Use words to “paint” a picture of this scene. Use lots of
adjectives to describe the sights, sounds, and textures of the scene.

Drawing Assignments:
1.Artists sometimes combine the features of several animals to create a
totally new creature. Draw and color such a creature. Write what animals you
used to create your creature.
2.Some artists use only lines. Others use only shapes. Some use a
combination of both. Invent some unusual forms with shapes, lines, or a
combination of both.
3.Imagine you are a bug in your refrigerator. Draw what you see. Complete
you drawing with color.
Writing Assignments:
1.Imagine you are a designer for a wallpaper manufacturer. Describe the
wallpaper you would create to hang in your bedroom.
2.Some cakes are decorated beautifully. Describe a birthday cake that would
be a true work of art.
3.Do you think true talent is something a person is born with or something
that can be developed? Explain your answer.
