Round Rock Council of PTA's
16,500 members in RRISD,
PTAs in RRISD raised $ 2.1 million last year,
Funds provided programs, scholarships, teacher grants and enrichment
opportunities to schools
PTA is the proclaimed/designated Parent Involment Group of RRISD.
PTA runs a Clothes Closet Program that has been in existence for 30 years
Run through collaborative volunteer efforts and funding form all 44 PTAs in
the district.
The amount of students served in this program has doubled in the past few years
Last year RR Council of PTAs severed all Katrina Families and received
accolades form Congressmen Carter along
with state and National PTA.
National PTA 2006 Top Honor Reflections (Art Contest) recipient is from RRISD
Grisham Middle School student Arshia Ali
Outstanding Interpretation Award that is the highest award at the National Level.
