Hello again,
The Ecosystem Unit has begun. We're looking for our place in the sun. It
should be interesting, but also fun. We will all be experts when were done.
Stevie Wonder (I remember when he was simply Little Stevie Wonder), sang a
song of significance which applies well to this unit. It was Moving On.
'There's a place in the sun where there's room for everyone...'.
When we finish, each student will clearly understand how all things fit
together in this web of life. More importantly, each person will begin a
journey to find their own place in the sun.
May I add that Stevie Wonder had already become famous by the age of ten?
Although he was blinded at an early age, he had a vision of what he wanted
to become. It is vision that directs us toward our destiny.
Get a vision. Get a life.
Science is for life. In this case we can call the unit 'Life Science'.
Note: Please set aside a few moments to inspect the Agenda and the Homework
Folder. Students are expected to bring them home each night so you can see
how they are progressing.
