If I wake up sick on a morning that I am supposed to go to my field-site...

You will need to contact by phone or email your field-site teacher and your
teacher/coordinator. (Mrs. Vadner) Both need to be contacted before 8am. A
parent will also need to contact your attendance office at Lamar.

I have an appointment during the time I am supposed to be at my field-site...

Try not to schedule any appointments when you are supposed to be at your
field-site school. As you can tell, the kids get real excited when you are
coming. The field-site teacher makes plans for you on the day that you are
supposed to be there. I have made the committment that you will be there.
Notify your field-site teacher and your teacher/coordinator as soon as you
are aware of a conflict. Work out a time to make up the day with your field-
site teacher, or get a written make-up assignment from me, and let me know
as well so that I will not show up to observe you if you are not going to be
there. You receive a grade for everyday that you are in your field-site
school.

If my field-site teacher tells me that I can leave early.......

Absolutely not! You are to remain on your field-site campus from 9:15 until
12:15. (Larson - 9:25 to 12:10) I am responsible for you during that time
period. You are receiving 2 credits for this course. You will need to find
something to do. Write your journals, grade papers, work on your bulletin
board assignments or observe in another class. Stay with your students.
Part of observing is to see your students at recess, sit with them at lunch,
listen to them in music or watch them be creative in art. The entire day is
part of your overall learning experience.

My class is going on a FIELD-TRIP!

Contact YOUR teacher immediately! (Mrs. Vadner)
1.You must fill out a permission slip just like all of the elementary
students with your parent's signature - even if you are 18 or older.
2.Field-Site teacher must sign it and get approval from their principal.
3.I have to have the original to get YOUR principal to sign it. (Mr.
Provence)
It takes advanced planning because a lot of people are responsible for YOU
and your well being!
