Mrs. Dow is in her 11th year of teaching and all 11 years have been at SGP.
She is currently in her fourth year of teaching AP Calculus and has vast
experience teaching Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus. She earned her
B.A. in music performance from Principia College in 1997 and later received
her teaching certification in secondary math from UT-Arlington. She is
currently working towards a Masters of Arts in Teaching Mathematics from
Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!!!), which will be completed in May
2009. Mrs. Dow has been nominated five years in a row for Who's Who Among
America's Teachers. She is passionate about teaching math and hopes to make
her classes fun and interesting.
She is also coming back to the world of teaching colorguard at South.
Her first three years (1998-2001) she served as colorguard director and is
back in the saddle again this year. She is excited about what lies ahead in
the 2008-2009 school year. Go Warriors!
