                      THEATRE 3 DISCLOSURE STATEMENT
                          INSTRUCTOR: KAREN DODGE

OBJECTIVE: Through a series of acting exercises, performance, and analysis, 
the Theatre 3 student will develop a deeper understanding of his/her art form. 
This class is a performance class. It has been designed to give advanced 
students an opportunity to practice their craft, by using the skills learned 
in Theatre 1 and Theatre 2, and taking them to a higher level of the acting
expenence.

EXPECTATIONS:
I. This is an advanced class and advanced behavior is expected. If 
inappropriate behavior persists, it could mean dismissal froni the class.
2. Students need to attend class and be completely prepared daily.
3. Students should be cooperative and contribute to the learning environment.
4. The advanced acting student should maintain a high level of respect for 
fellow actors, themselves, instructors, visitors, and the learning environment 
whether it be the stage or the classroom. Responsibility is a must.
5. Students need to remain open and try the new experience being brought to 
them.
Remember, "You never know what you can do unless you try."

GRADING: The grading for this course falls under the category of 
"assignments." All work done in this class will be weighted equally. This is a 
performance class. Grading will be based on each student's level of 
participation.

Parents, due to the nature of this class, students will be evaluating one 
another on participation and performance. This discussion process is a 
necessary tool to assist students in gaining an understanding of their 
strengths and areas where they could improve. It also helps them articulate 
the skills they are learning.

Parents, please go over this disclosure statement with you child, sign, and 
return to class. Thank you! Ms. Dodge

I have read the disclosure statement for Theatre 3 and understand the 
expectations. I also give permission for my child to participate in oral 
evaluations of one another's performances.
