Does Mrs. Lindbloom accept late work?

Homework is not accepted late. You must schedule make up work immediately
upon your return. It is your responsibility to turn in any assignments that
were due and take any quizzes or tests that were given while you were
absent within the number of days you were absent plus one. I will only
accept work due while you were absent at the beginning of the period on the
day of your return. If you have an unexcused absence on a day when you are
supposed to give a presentation or take a test, you will receive a zero.
Work assigned while you were absent must be made up on the same schedule as
your classmates (if they had one class to do the assignment, so will you; if
they had a week, so will you). If you ask me to sign a field trip form, you
are acknowledging that you are responsible for missed work. All important
due dates are listed on my web site for the rest of the year. If you do not
have internet access while away from school, ask a classmate what you missed.

What are Mrs. Lindbloom's policies concerning the laptops?

Only the programs necessary for the current assignment may be running during
class. Laptops may only be used during designated times. Doing anything
not necessary for the current assignment may result in one or more of the
following: confiscation of your laptop for the remainder of the period,
loss of the right to use your laptop in class for a week, or referral to an
administrator.

When is the best time to reach Mrs. Lindbloom at school?

I am available afternoons Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Please consider
emailing me for a more immediate response. I generally check my email at
night and on weekends when I know that students are working on important
assignments at home. You can click on the mailbox at the top of the page to
email me at sdlindbloom@henrico.k12.va.us

I can also be reached from 8:15 to 8:45 and from 3:45 to 4:00.

What do I do if I can't print or dropbox an assignment?

If the problem is with your access to the server but you still have internet
access, you can go the "Links" page on this site. Click on the last link
which says "Submit Answers from School." Then click on "Click here to send
an email to S. Lindbloom." Copy and paste your assignment into the box and
click send. The assignment will be sent to my email account.

What do I do if I turned in my computer and my assignment was on it?

Please do your best to plan ahead. Save copies of all important assignments
(especially journals and essays!) on your personal folder once a week. You
have a personal folder which is accessible at all times except in rare
circumstances when the server is down. I am unlikely to be flexible
regarding long-term assignments if you have computer problems. If you do
have a computer problem, please see me as soon as possible so that we can
figure out the most fair solution. Keep in mind that computer problems do
not excuse you from your work, and that you will likely have to redo
assignments quickly.

When can I expect Mrs. Lindbloom to sign my field trip form?

I will sign forms for students with C averages or above and for students who
have completed all make-up work from previous absences. Students who have D
or F averages and/or who have work to make-up need to be in class until they
are caught up. Field trips are a privilege, not a right, and academic work
takes priority. Note: all students who miss school for field trips are
expected to remain on schedule with all work.

What do the codes on HCPS link mean?

blank = no grade entered
ex = student is excused (most likely a small class assignment done while
student was sick)
dr = dropped (sometimes students may earn a dropped grade through extra
credit)
n = not yet graded (student has turned in the assignment but I have not
graded it yet)
ab = absent (calculated as a zero will become permanent if not made up
within three days)
unex = Student was in school but did not report to class. Student will
receive a permanent zero unless the absence is excused by the adminstration
and/or attendance.
