Welcome

Welcome to our school! Our mission is to do whatever it takes to create outstanding opportunities for learning. We know that families and students are important partners in this journey and we invite you to partner with us. We believe that all children can excel at academics, and that activities and citizenship are important. We look forward to our journey this year.

April 13th was a wonderful day celebrating the military child - our school was a sea of purple. Thank you for supporting the celebration of our youngest heroes - our children.
April 19th - it may have been raining cats and dogs but Evergreen families came out to the Tillicum McDonald's for dinner. Timber was able to greet many of the students - we have some of the pictures on our bulletin board in the hall to share. Families graciously gave to the TIP jar - $99.30 and with the food purchases (we got 20% of sales) we earned $645.00. These funds will help us pay for our online math program IXL.
Measure of Academic Progress - known as the MSP is on the horizon. The first two weeks of May our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be showing what they know in reading and math. Fourth graders will also be assessed in writing and fifth graders is science. We ask that students get plently of rest - they will have a break from homework those weeks so that they have time to relax and have fun after a day of assessing. Please be sure that students arrive on time each day. If your student will be absent please let the office know so that we can make arrangements for your student to have an alternate testing day. Each student has worked very hard this year and this is the opportunity to let that learning shine. Again thank you for supporting our COOL Kids.
Gentle reminder: Students should not be arriving to school prior to 7:30. Also please be cautious when in the parking lot - we have children who are not easily seen in the early morning and want to ensure that they can walk with their parents across the parking lot to the sidewalk safely. Thank you for your support in ensuring that all our students arrive to school safely. If you are interested in helping in the morning - we have a volunteer position open to greet students as they arrive in the morning.
